I 100% agree with your comment about moms. How someone treats their mother (or someone they consider to be the mother figure in their life,) as they got older is absolutely a good sign of civility. Kids are known for acting out, being unprepared, and you need your mom there to take care of you, that's what she does. If you grow up and still are unprepared, and act out, your mom is still going to be there because she still thinks she needs to take care of you. The better you treat your mom, the better she'll treat you, and the more likely she'll be not "treat you like a kid," or "do things for you." Because, essentially, you proved you're going to be okay. Go moms. <3

In reference to the comment about getting his girlfriend to play some games, I agree that trying to widen the spectrum of games and see what yall find enjoyable to play. My Ex-gf played games very little; She owned a 360 during this generation of consoles and only played Left 4 Dead and trials. I, being a gamer nerd, built on this because i had mad love for both of those games and introduced different games following that like GTA and a lil splitscreen COD and bonded over them (and 'bonded' *winky face*). The Mario and LoL examples are both games i find boring or not fun to play (platformers and MOBAs) so maybe some open-world games, casual FPSs or a beginner RPG (Fallout 4 is a very welcoming RPG for this generation) can be more appealing or at least more freeing than ultra-competitive games or a game that looks or plays too casually.

Another way to enjoy games is as a spectator. My ex enjoyed watching me play games as much if not even more than playing them herself because i was good at them or simply made them more entertaining. For example, She was not a fan of Overwatch; however, she began to like the game after watching some matches I played and wanted me to continue. This may not be the case for some or many but its something to experiment with since its technically where our fandom comes from.

Hope this is helpful in someway; love yall and your work - Keep crittin' you twits!

Let me preface this comment by saying I quit smoking weed over 2 years ago, before that I smoked quite a bit for about 10 years. I really didn't like drinking and the way being "buzzed" made me feel so I stuck with smoking. I was passionate about quite a few things during all of that time. Before I ever smoked a bowl, during my weed use and after quitting weed.

So to the person who didn't have any passion, my best advice would be to go try more things, read more books, or (and this is probably the best advice) just go talk to people outside your circle of friends that might do more than just play games.

Just don't want weed to be portrayed like it is on way too many movies and tv shows as something people do and then can't get off the couch and just eat everything in sight. You just have to know what you are smoking. Indica will make you veg out and put you in a stupor on a couch. Sativa is more of a upper, you can actually get stuff done after smoking it. The stuff that is a blend can be hit or miss as to which side you are going to end up on.

I do advocate it being legal for recreational use, but I also do warn people that it can take away your drive to do stuff (which is what I think they were trying to say). It won't take away your passion but it might make you less likely to start that new project or learn a new skill. I did know people who smoked all day, everyday, I guess you would call them the total potheads, and they didn't do shit all day, but they were usually passionate about something and would talk to you about it (whether you wanted them to or not), for about 45 minutes, before needing to go get high again.

At some point blaming misplaced hype only on the consumer is ridiculous. I wasn't hyped for any of the failed launches this year. That being said they are bad games. No Man's Sky for example ran like crap on my PC and crashed repeatedly. That would be fine because as a pc gamer im used to that but on PS4? Cmon. And lets not lie to oursevles. No mans sky falsely advertised they even got investigated for it.

What? I vividly remember Bruce explaining in a previous video why he shaved his head. The other guys even mentioned how they had to help the girl handle the razor.

I swear they explained that as well. The girl kept on messing up but Bruce didn't mind and just laughed it off. That was definitely in there.

he decided about a month ago he wanted to go bald, and came up with an idea (sort of last minute iirc) to do it onstage at lets play live. It was maybe last week's DS that he said this?

Yeah it was a Let's Play Live thing he did on stage.

I think Bruce wants to think of his fame in the same way the kid who shit themselves in sex ed is famous among their classmates

Referring to the conversation about fame, and specifically what Elyse was saying, I think she's absolutely right. I show my mom Funhaus stuff a lot, and she often says things like, "Sure, I'll come watch your friends again."

Obviously she understands that I don't actually know you guys but she's sort of right. In sort of a weird way, I do see you guys as friends since I do know about your personal lives (in part, of course) from RT content.

I initially felt that way years ago through discovering AH, finding that watching their videos is a lot like sitting on the couch playing games with your friends.

I've yet to meet you guys, but I feel like if I do some day go to RTX, it'd be easier to talk to you like a regular human being rather than a celebrity that I idolize (like when I met Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and stuttered through the conversation while going beet-red).

This is essentially where the joke-term Friend Simulator comes from. I forget what piece of FH content it was where they actually talk about it, I THINK it was dude soup but no idea which one.

Weed never made me okay with being bored.. Then again I would usually do that before trying to achieve something, personal best days playing football, trying to beat difficult levels in video games, writing ideas, and one of my personal favorite things, history, I'd get high in high school and read up on my history stuff because I've always felt that history is the greatest lesson most people tend to look over and therefore repeat past mistakes. I mean admittedly now weed is only part of my life to help with my PTSD and insomnia so if sleeping is boredom sure? I mean I do know a lot of people that just smoke weed and do nothing at all except sit there and watch movies which to each their own but if I'm not doing it before I attempt to sleep I do it to kind of enhance things if that makes sense? Sorry for the random weed thing here. I'm sure most people are just gonna think I'm a pothead which is fine just thought I'd put my experience with it out there, great show guys.

So fucking excited for Twits & Crits season 2!

Also, tuned into Dude Soup for the first time in a very long time because I've been pretty busy. Impressed with how polished the set looks!

I "tuned" back in a couple weeks ago, and the set annoyed me. I liked the whole people just sitting in front of a computer and talking feel. But it's definitely grown on me, and they look a lot more comfortable... especially the pupper.

I wasn't able to watch the entire podcast or the post show today, but damn Elyse, you were my favorite hausmate today. That wink just after "I don't have problems with that." So good. (27 minute mark if anyone missed it)
