Really good, kind of obscure movie that actually came out recently, Green Room. It's by the same person that wrote/directed Blue Ruin, and it's the most intense shit I think I've ever seen. Don't watch the trailers, don't read any reviews. All you need to know is that it has Patrick Stewart.

I think that the main reason why some people are confused about Lawrence's character being different from the actual Lawrence (other than the fact that his character has the same name as him) is that his character's behavior is not unrealistic. He's quick to anger, but he's not just always angry, so it's believable. I think most people watching know someone who actually acts that way, so when you watch a video and see someone getting mad all the time over nothing, it's realistic enough that it can make people wonder.

I think characters that are more ridiculous (like Boomstick from ScrewAttack) are more obviously fake, so people don't wonder whether he's actually like that in real life. Plus his name is different, which I think makes it easier to understand for most people. Actors sharing a name with an on-screen persona who acts realistically is an unfamiliar concept for a lot of people, so they naturally assume that his character's behavior is a reflection of the way Lawrence really acts. Stephen Colbert had the same thing happen when he was on Comedy Central, and his character was much more ridiculous than Lawrence's.

James why do you love doing squats so much? I know you said why you like the rack because it can be used to do anything, but from everything I've ever heard doing actual squats at a squat rack is horrible for your knees and if you do them with a lot of weight a lot then when you get into your 50's and older your knees will be terrible. Growing up as a three sport athlete i always did squats for my sport but even my coaches would tell me about about how they had bad knees from all the squats they did.

So am I wrong? Or are you just not worried about it because you have good form?

I am starting my second semester of university soon and would like some help. In the first semester I would say I made 3 friends of which one was wearing an achievement hunter shirt and another was wearing a Star Wars shirt. I also found myself listening to Dude Soup, the RT Podcast, the Patch or Off Topic most of the day when walking between classes and when not around the 3 friends, basically ignoring everyone for most of the day. I know that I am a strong introvert and find it difficult to socialise with people I don't know well and would like to know if you guys had some advice on how to put myself out there more and interact with more people in this up coming semester. Thank you in advance if you answer this question (P.S. I go to university in Australia)

I love how James says the best way to view AH content is underneath your desk during class, because I actually used to do that during math class in high school haha! (Except I put it on the top of my desk because I was a true teenage rebel). Now I watch Funhaus after I come home from work, like an adult. Yes I am 19.

Yay, you showed my question about Free Speech. I completely and utterly agreed with what you guys said, and was relieved as such. My next question (And it's much shorter) is: Do you guys have any "dream" video games that you've devised in your heads - either growing up or now - that you wished/wish would be made, and what were/are they?

New York Has the best pizza in the world. Chicago deep dish, as James says, very different. You're wrong Bruce, very very wrong.

You simply cannot compare "New York" style pizza to "Chicago Style" in any kind of objective way simply because they are too different. It'd be like saying "Fillet Mignon is better than Prime Rib" both have qualities people desire that make them good to different tastes.

What you can compare is what is technically New York Styled pizza with others in the same style. (Not compare it to things like Neapolitan, Sicilian, Chicago, etc because it is entirely subjective.) NY pizza is generally thin crust (but not Neapolitan thin) hand tossed with a tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. And when it comes down to it, it is all about the quality and source of your ingredients because things like diet (for the animal products) and soil composition play a huge roll in flavor. The difference between a processed block mozzarella and one that one made from raw milk with consideration to what the cattle are grazing on (grass, grains, presence of wildflowers in the field etc) is night and day. And at the end of the day, New York Pizza or at least the pizza that made it famous is good pizza but it is also very generic pizza because it lacks that level of consideration for it's ingredients.

If you want to really explore some pizza flavors, check out some joints that do Neapolitan style pizza and if you are from New York you should without a doubt check out Keste. I didn't quite have the honor of training under the guy who runs this place, but one of the people he taught, taught me.

TL:DR New York has some great pizza places (like most major cities) but New York style pizza is generally pretty average on the flavor scale when it comes to flavor nuances and what not.

Further Refinement must be made here. Manhattan in general has very good acceptable pizza however if you want the best New York has to offer then you will find yourself in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, or Gravesend. Brooklyn Pizza is superior to New York Pizza both in modern pizzeria offerings and traditional Neapolitan or Sicilian pizzas. There's nothing like getting a square slice and lemon ice from L&B's on a hot summer day. I should include Staten Island and Queens as well, but I don't out of principle. It also goes without saying that as far as best pizza in the world goes Naples is definitely the place to go.

It may be funny, but the guys are absolutely right: traits that you find unattractive in others are often the traits you dislike about yourself. Everything that upsets or annoys you is an issue you have, you can blame others for a personal attack but not for being offensive, because it is very personal what you allow yourself to be offended by.

    • meanmisterwalrus

Totally agree. To often people say "I am offended by this. I want to shut it down!" which, to me, is similarly as arrogant and self-centered as saying "I personally dislike this. I don't care if others like it. I want to control what other people can and can't see/watch/listen to/read/play simply because I don't want to avoid it and accept that, in a world filled with different thing, I'm bound to come across things I don't like; that takes too much effort".

Don't you think that demanding that things should be banned is simply an extension of the concept that we live in an "age of entitlement"

People are bitter to not have what others do, people believe that things should be provided for them, people should be allowed free choice but without bad consequences, it is always someone else's fault that I can't ......

It is natural progression to then reach "I should not have to read stuff like ...this.... that offends me"

Why not? What is so special about you and your opinion? What work have you put into achieving what you want? Stop displaying immature jealousy through constant twitter abuse as a way to deal with your own inadequacy and take responsibility and action. Just work harder.

Or if you cannot physically do any more than you are doing: look inwards for peace and fulfillment; stop constantly seeking attention/external rewards /fame &wealth to find contentment.

I found it interesting that during the podcast Adam kept pooh-poohing the idea that Tmartn or Syndicate could face jail time. Here in New York we just dealt with the lawsuit against FanDuel and DraftKings which arrived at a settlement pending further legislation. In that case however, those companies went through great lengths to obfuscate the practices that would indicate the presence of gambling or false advertising. It seems like Tmartn and Syndicate didn't consider the legal implications of what they were doing until after people noticed and unlike FanDuel and DraftKings who profited off of sports in general Tmartn and Syndicate are specifically exploiting Valve's lottery mechanic in CS:GO. And since Valve is facing a class action lawsuit for this exact issue I'm pretty sure Valve is going to indicate clearly that they in no way intended for gambling to occur and will in doing so implicate the owners of CS:GO gambling sites as the sole parties at fault. They'll probably be able to reach some form of settlement, but a settlement in this case is likely more than just a fine. Personally I think they're absolutely guilty of promoting illegal gambling and falsely advertising potential winnings and loses which should carry major penalties.

How does fan art actually get on the show? Like I absolutely love the Post Show as it is one of my favourites. It has the talents of Kel, Nate and many more inspiring me to pick up my paintbrush (well graphics pen). But is there a process art has to go through or can you just tweet it to them? As I tweeted a piece that I did a few weeks ago and have not seen it on the show yet. I'm not grumpy or anything, I will still continue to do Funhaus art. I just want to know if you guys have seen it, that is all!

Absolutely love you guys, you bring happiness to my day. So keep on being fantastic!

You can post art on their subreddit /r/funhaus for the most people to see, but you can tweet it at whoever you think is relevant too. Lawrence just brings what he finds throughout the week.

    • ironwood

Usually I tweet it out to them since I have no idea how to work Reddit. I also post my crap on my personal tumblr blog too but that doesn't get a lot of hits. And I have no idea how they pick pieces of art and place it on the show, but I'm sure they do see it! <3

Funhaus is most of my reason for being a "first" member but I'm seriously second guessing it now. One post show for the podcast doesn't justify the cost.

The actual podcast is available to "first" members 3 hours from now.

And to non paying people? 3 hours from now.

To people without an account? 3 hours.

Why am I paying again? To see two rich guys spend thousands of company dollars to travel halfway across the world for a head massage that features shitty asmr splattered across 90% of the video?
