Once again, Funhaus demonstrates their ability to not be huge, wobbling bellends when mocking and/or discussing an issue. Referring to the Samurai Jack discussion at the end, where they talk about Tumblr's reaction to Samurai Jack not being gay: instead of jumping to what the rest of the internet does in belittling and insulting Tumblr's userbase, they just present alternative points of view and discuss it like adults. Fair enough if you think Tumblr overreacted, but Tumblr is arguably one of the biggest LGBT+ communities on the internet and for Funhaus to just disagree with their point of view, rather than insulting the community, is another demonstration of why Funhaus are my absolute faves. <3

For whatever reason, my computer refuses to load the 12 seconds after 37:20 (everything alse plays) where they're talking about Gary Oldman, but regardless, this was a great Filmhaus. I really enjoy these, especially because they give me ideas for topics to bring up in any movie discussions I find myself embroiled in. I'll give it a fourteen out of ten. I'm sorry for the harsh rating, but you can expect a higher score when I get the Gary Oldman chat to load!

its pretty frustrating that they just chalk mantis up to some socially awkward millennial thing. shes a pretty powerful empath in the comics and Ya, I Get It, This Isn't ThE comics, but she's not some millennial stereotype bc ~oh these kooky millennials~

Bro, I'm a 27-year-old living with my grandmother, who is currently wearing a shirt from a webcomic specifically created to portray all sexual expression as equal. I am THE Millenial. So please hear me when I say, just because you don't like the word "Millenial" is does not make all observations about us invalid. Lawrence was making an observation of a trend. One that I can stand as living proof to.

The first ten minutes of this they were all saying the same thing but were somehow arguing about it. That was confusing. Regardless, great episode. Love this show. Keep up the great work.

They have to kill Indy in the next movie. Maybe even at the beginning.

That way, it can be called Indiana Jones and the Last Rites.

I'm definitely more in agreement with Elyse on the films placement within the MCU. Guardians of the Galaxy is the macro-view on the events of the Infinity Stones, and gives scale to the importance of them. More context on Thanos, and an infinitely larger scope to the price of failing to stop him. When they do show up with everyone else, the Guardians might play a much bigger role than potentially many of the entrenched MCU heroes.

Countering James' point. Once the films wrap up and everything is in context, it's possible that Guardians will be easier to argue as much more Universe-entwined, through characters and plots, than Ant-Man was through proximity and a cameo avenger appearance. Or at the very least, done with more thought and passion.

To me Guardians of the Galaxy uses the music to enhance the story and in a way move it forward.

I'm really surprised that so many people like this movie, for me it was another Iron Man 2. Also for the first time in like 10 years I went out of the cinema during a screening (I was close to leaving at Transformers 3 but the popcorn was too good to leave), so I don't think I can really talk much about this movie since I didn't watch the whole thing.

Stuff that pissed me off was a retarded, forced conflict between Peter and Gamora- at first he was very untrusting towards his father but after visiting his planet he was shouting at Gamora "You're just jealous, bitch!" or something like that. The scene where Gamora runs from her sister in a ship was just insulting when a mechanically improved alien was unable to hit a target running in a straight line with a ship armed with 2 laser miniguns. Gamora could as well sit, light a cigarette and tell to the camera "they won't kill me like that, I'm one of the main characters". And humor was also insulting, they took everything from the first part and copied it without much thought and added jokes that even 13yo don't think are funny anymore, like Drax and Ego talking about Ego's penis.

I understand what the director tried to tell with that movie, that even though the main characters are assholes they're still a family and Ego only cares about himself, not about his son (very subtle name by the way), but in my opinion it was shown poorly.

There were some ok scenes, acting was very good, cgi was decent, music was enjoyable but for me it's not enough. The movie was vastly superior when compared to Suicide Squad, but at SS I had extremely low expectations, and here I had quite high expectations and I was very disappointed.

I'm just sharing an opinion, I'm aware that a majority of the audience thinks the movie was good so I'm perfectly fine if no one agrees with me here.

I liked GoTG2 but I felt like 1. it was a little long and 2. a little self indulgent. The first was a perfect movie because I felt like the studio had the reigns a little tight on Gunn so every single scene in the first one had it's purpose and was toiled over until it was perfect. The second felt a tiny bit bloated, like the studio told him "hey the first one was a huge success, do whatever you want now!" and it suffered for it.

Saying all this, it's still better than 90% of the other marvel movies. I'd probably put it in 3rd or 4th. Gotg > Winter Soldier > then either gotg2 or iron man

Was just thinking, if I had to make FH the actors for GOTG it'd go like this: (What follows is an opinion)

    Star Lord: James

    Gamora: Adam

    Rocket: Lawrence

    Drax: Bruce

    Groot: Peake

    Baby Groot: Elyse

Kinda surprised that the film is pretty much loved across the board. Because while the film was still a fun and entertaining film, it was flawed at so many places. A barely existing story that is all over the place, forced comedy, cheesy drama and lack of any real character arc for most of the main characters. I love the first guardians, but this one was really disappointing. But I respect your opinions, film is subjective after all. :)

Also because of Twits and Crits, everytime you guys said the name Decker I pictured Lawrence's character. xD

I completely agree.  The clunky tonal shifts between hard-core action and touching personal realizations pulled me out of the cinematic experience one too many times.  I felt like a guy sitting in a chair staring at a screen rather than a voyeur watching over-the-shoulder of an epic adventure as it unfolded.

With that said, the comedy and action were absolutely top notch.  Lots of great high points, but the connective tissue linking them together was lacking.

Action was alright, the final battle where Peter and Ego went full DBZ was awesome! But overall the final battle left me cold, since I didn't really care about the drama they have set up, so the action is just another big meaningless laser battle at the end of every superhero movie.

Elements. Thought some of the comedic scenes meandered too much. Still really liked the film though. GotG 1 is just a tighter film, it has incredible pacing. GotG isn't quite as "efficient".
