Well, our second trial of Dude Soup Live, at PAX in Seattle, went really well. EXTRAORDINARILY well, if you ask me. 250+ audience members. Beautiful onstage presence. Cult of Peake in full force. We only had one hitch: we weren't able to record the damn thing.

Trust me, it was awesome. We got into how everyone alive today is better than Jesus. About how sad Notch is. About Lawrence's crackpot Lightcube theory.

But you'll never know about it.

We talked about how people on Twitter and Reddit are hounding game devs, and how that creates a vicious cycle of games coverage. We bowed our head as Peake lead us in a group prayer.

And it'll never be seen.

Sorry. Here's a replacement.

Until Dawn is like a weird mix between heavy rain and beyond two souls. The story is okay i'll give it that but there are points where you can choose which character dies and you go "that one" and it kills the option you didn't pick or no one dies but you pissed off one character, sort of. And then there are other points where it shows you options you took that got someone killed and there's very little way of knowing how that item is necessary.

I play games like Life Is Strange and the Telltale games, but my friends always say I'm dumb for playing them when you can just watch them on YouTube. So, they DO lose a little money on people like that.

I've been watching Markiplier play Until Dawn. It looks so amazing I would totally buy it if I had the money.

To address Lawrence's question @ around 10:30. I am currently watching the video podcast while playing Heroes of the Storm and music. I essentially listen to the video podcast and when i hear something interesting or something that I might want to see. I tab over and look at it. While listening to my own music in the background. So if you want to take that into account I am consuming 3 different media's in the same amount of time you are assuming a person is only consuming 1. Idk if I am the minority or not. I love the show, keep it up.

I had a thought while listening to the guy's discussion on Let's Plays and their effect on sales. An interesting analytic to see would be repeated viewership (those who watch more than one episode) throughout a Let's Play series of one game. My theory is that very few people watch the entire series, you can see this by the dwindling number of views as a series progresses. Based on that analytic it would be possible to see whether people are consuming the video as a substitute for the game or if they are using the video as a "taste test".

I'm in the "taste test" camp, but it would be cool to see where others lay.
