Lately I've been so caught up trying to improve my Twitch account, I haven't really talked a lot about my blog over on Wordpress. Don't worry this post isn't another shameless plug, I just wanted to talk about the blogging process a bit. You see I actually started it like 5 years ago now for a film class and then just kind of forgot about it for a few years. Then when I really got curious about blogging it sorta just came back to me.
I started doing reviews for anime, movies, YouTube series, a song, and all sorts of other stuff. Wordpress even allows me to see how many people visit, view, like and comment which has been pretty cool. It's honestly the first time in recent memory I've done something where the feedback feels rewarding (though I wish I knew how to get more people commenting -_-).
I try to have at least 3 posts a week now, and I love getting out of class and seeing when a scheduled post goes up. If I had to describe it I'd say it's like the phrase, "When you're do what you love you never work a day in your life". However I wouldn't say I don't put any work into my posts. While some of them may be more lazily done than other, some posts will sit in my draft box for weeks until I feel they're ready. Others I may drill out in a few hours depending on how passionate I am about the material. Examples of this would definitely be my reviews of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure seasons or Abridged shows on YouTube.
In a lot of ways I'd say I love it because of my interest in investigative journalism, something I've still yet to cover on the blog. I've read a number of books by these journalists, and they almost never fail to amaze me. Someone infiltrating a community to learn about them first hand and then retelling their experiences has long been something I think I would enjoy doing. It's really a shame I've never liked traditional journalism enough to pursue it. However the blog has easily filled that void, and I can't wait to see what becomes of it over the years.
Well that's about that. Thanks for reading ^_^
