Hey guys! New to the group, but I wanted to see if anyone here is going to the Champaign screening of Lazer Team? I know there's at least 65 people, and thought maybe I'd see if anyone wants to participate in a fan meetup before/after the screening? I'd love to meet some RT/AH fans and share our mutual interest in the company. :-D

    • RTX Cosplay

For anyone who will be doing a cosplay involving weapons, the Austin Convention center does not allow Airsoft Guns of any kind into the center. The RTX Event webpage does not say this, but I have learned through a Forum Mod that airsoft is NOT okay.

It's quite possible that I've never been as excited for an event as I am for RTX 2015. At this point I really would take a time machine forward to my flight to Austin (only because I love flying) in order to be closer to the start, dressed in my Booker Dewitt cosplay (as made by my wife).

Really don't know what to expect, but maybe that's a good thing? I'll be happy with whatever happens! :-D

After listening to the tribute podcast and watching the tribute video, my cheeks are wet with tears shed for this amazing man. I'm not ashamed to admit that, even as a 25 year old man, I feel for the RT cast and crew. I feel for those who knew him well. For I didn't know him at all. I wasn't a hardcore RWBY watcher, but RVB has been one of my favorite things of all time. Listening to the back catalog of RT Podcasts and seeing pictures and videos of this man have been my only interaction.

John Doone said it best. "Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee."

Monty was a bright soul. A tremendously hard worker, and a visionary artist. After reading and listening to all my emotions can take, I have 1 final thought.

The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

You went before your time Monty. But the time you spent using your artistic talents touched so many.

I'm happy to have known you Monty. Even if my knowledge of you was limited.

      Rest In Peace.

After almost 6 months of watching the stuff that Rooster Teeth has put up, I'm finally a sponsor! I'm so excited to be "a part" of what this company does, bringing comedy and laughter to millions of people around the globe! Some day I'll be at RTX and I couldn't be happier to be supporting this company! Thank you for all you do!

    • My gaming life

I remember my first console. Since my parents weren't big into video games, they never wanted to buy me an NES or SEGA at all. I finally raised enough money (by the time I was 13) to buy my own computer. It was $160 and I got it from a man at our church who sold computers. It was the coolest thing to have a piece of technology that I had bought myself and that I could call my own. I seem to remember it was a Pentium processor, with an integrated graphics card, so it wasn't exactly "top of the line" at the time. Eventually I discovered that I needed a better graphics card if I wanted to play a game I had bought, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. So after buying a $60 graphics card, I started playing. That game is probably the first video game I played through all the way. The experience of stepping into a character's shoes...the freedom to (sort of) do what I wanted to do was nothing short of amazing. I was hooked immediately.

Fast-forward 11 years, and now I play on my PS3 and the laptop I bought for $1000 just 2 years ago. Now I have games ranging from Audiosurf, Skyrim, Mirror's Edge, Saboteur, GTA 5, and many others. I wouldn't say I have the broadest interest in games. I tend to stick to shooters mostly, but I do enjoy the occasional RPG. The problem I find is that I don't have much time anymore to play video games as much as I used to. I guess that comes with being a grad student working on my master's degree.

Still, the highlight of my week is watching the videos that Rooster Teeth uploads. These videos have provided me with so much laughter, and not much in my life does that. I really appreciate what this company does and what they represent. Thank you Rooster Teeth.
