It feels like not much has happened in the passing three months however in hind site quite a lot has occurred. So let's start in chronological order, shall we?
Got to go to my first Rooster Teeth convention back in February! I managed to get a few photos with a few people like anything4views, Ryan Haywood, Jeremy Dooley, Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins. They were all super cool!
I was prepared to hear a strong American accents but they all sounded exactly how they do in their videos except for Burnie. I was taken back a bit when talking to Burnie due to him having a really strong American accent. One thing I wished I did when meeting Ashley and Burnie is to act naturally in normal conversation rather than being a dumbass piece of shit trying to be impressionable, aha. Again, they were super cool and loved conversing with Ashley. The amount of patience they have with all of their fans is astounding!
Out of the many things I learned from this trip, I think the most important lesson learned was to get a better wardrobe and pack way more clothing. It was crazy at how fast my clothing were being used during my three days in Sydney. (Thanks Summer.) That and be sure to know how to get back to the airport with more than 10 minutes before boarding. That shit was INTENSE! Maybe a story for another time.
I'll post a couple of pictures I took from RTXAus regardless of them being 3 months overdue (WHOOPS!).
Loved the event, loved the environment and loved the people. Can't wait for next year!
NOBODY LIKES YOU WHEN YOU'RE 23!
Dude! It was my birthday in March! I am a bit behind in position than I initially would have liked to have been in the goals I set out for myself but I'm glad to be in the position I am in. In a band, doing honours, set up a YouTube channel, made a bunch of new friends, working at a pizza bar and have graduated.
I want to start recording Let's Plays and become a bit more extroverted through it and lose my "Um's" and "Ah's". I also want to pick up my acoustic and start singing as well so recordings of covers should be coming as well very, very soon. Working out on a regular basis like 3 times a week is also a goal for me this year as well (and actually do it this time). Hopefully in the next coming months there will be a post updating on these goals and their progress. Should be fun!
BAND'S DEBUT ALBUM WAS RELEASED!
On the same day as my birthday my band, Exigence, released our debut album! It's called 'Transient'. It's pretty rad and got to give props to each of the band members for the effort and love they put into the album especially Yianni the drummer who recorded and mixed the whole thing. Family members are to be thanked also for being supportive and especially the bassist's parents for allowing us to use their garage for practice.
At long last, I graduated. I thought I'd never see the day. It feels so surreal and I don't feel like I deserve it but I have that piece of paper saying that I'm now qualified to be a forensic scientist. CRAZY! Having that said, if all goes well this year in my honours project, I'll be graduating next year as well. WHAT?!
At the moment I'm working on a project and getting mixed results and didn't do so well on an exam in one of the topics so things have been a bit down recently but I'm prepared to bounce back. The constant reminder on when this giant project has to be done never goes away. Starting to work on weekends and late nights on weekdays as of this passing month and there's no sign of slowing down at the moment. Some days I love it, some days I hate it but most days it feels like I've got nothing done and making no progress. Hopefully I'll get some good traction soon.
That's it so far from the top of my head so until next update (which I hope won't be too long) I'll see you guys next time.
