I beat Persona 5. What a lovely game, definitely up there on my Game of the Year picks. Feeling horridly empty because it's done now.
Also bought Titanfall 2. Great game, gets old fast though.

For full effect, you'd need to watch the scene this song is played in, but here's the lyrics:
The princess cannot go to the party
because all the princes are dying
She lives only in her dream
and watches everything from the tower
The soldiers dancing in the green field,
bleeding and calling the name of God
The princess is about to wake from her dream
when the birds left her
Ding ding ding ding ding ding
The bell rings and the mirror is cracked vertically
One of the soldiers died screaming the princess' name
Smell of gunpowder, sound of spears sticking into bodies
the sound of the tower collapsing attracted her
Finally, the princess broke the rules
and went down to join the party

I was originally gonna write this essay on @ninjacake 's post in the comments but I figured I've probably hit my quota of post-jacking for the year. I've spent the past few days reflecting on the events of Charlottesville and thought I'd put them up here because if there's one thing I've learned from John Oliver, is that Americans love a foreigner with opinions on white people.
Here are the two arguments, one from either side, I've seen prevalent:
Left: Nazis are wrong, they have no place in modern society. White supremacy is not welcome.
Right: This is my freedom of speech, stop impeding on it. We have a right to protest whatever we want.
I can't believe I have to explain this, but guess what: Nazis _are_ wrong. There's a reason why we make so many world war 2 games, and that's because the statement "Nazis are evil" should be the least polarizing statement this close to a century's anniversary of World War 2. Nazism and one of its core tenets- the supremacy of white people, is a fundamentally wrong opinion.
So on to freedom of speech- the alt-right or whatever fancy rebranding the ghost of Hitler channeling Pepe the frog has called them now had a right to be there under their First Amendment. That just means the government couldn't arrest them for simply being there. Every other person in that town, every counter-protester, had just as much of a right to be there, protesting your "protest". That's how free speech works. You know what's not protected under free speech? Murder. Or, to contextualize, driving your car into a crowd of protesters.
Actually, while we're on that topic, why would Nazis care about free speech? It literally goes against the core of Nazism. If you want racial purity, you can't have free speech. You can't one second go "Some of us are better than others" and the next say "We should all have a turn to say what we want". I'm just saying, you guys have to be the worst nazis I've ever seen, and that's despite every nazi in popular media having the gun accuracy of a dead cantaloupe trying to shoot down an F-22.
This is the part of this essay where I address the feint of "They're not really nazis, people throw that word around so much it doesn't mean anything anymore" to which I say, pish. I saw Nazi symbols, Nazi slogans and Nazi ideology at that rally. If it quacks like a duck and whines about the unfair persecution of hitler, it might have been in Charlottesville last weekend.
Next- White Oppression. Hang it up there with chem trails, kenyobama and Nazism being "Just an opinion" in the shelf of things that simply don't exist. I'm not saying white people have no problems- problems are inherent to the human condition. Oppression and problems are simply not the same thing. Getting flak on tumblr for being white is not the same as having the system of the country you live in working against you on every level. White men don't get shot on the street then have the media speculating about what they did to deserve it while the shooter gets a taxpayer-funded vacation.
Also- this was all over a fucking statue. Allegedly. Technically, wouldn't supporting the confederacy technically be the least american thing to do on a count of, yknow, the whole secession thing?
Final note- "debating Nazis". This has been a hotly contested topic as of late. Should Nazis be allowed a fair debate? Why should a civilised society bar a person from a chance to make their case? To which, I refer you to the fourth line of this essay: "Nazism is wrong" should be the least polarizing statement of the modern era. The validity of Nazism was never up for debate. You don't hear a person say "I think people who look different from me should be killed" and say "Well let's just hear him out". You call the cops.
P.S- I feel the need to point out, with all this heat on nazism etc, that the remainder of sane society can collectively agree to put nazi "trolling" on hold. Now that people actually believe the Nazis might be the good guys, please find a new universally hated european force to pretend to sympathize with for comedy. Like the Spanish Inquisition. Or the people who hate Abba.
I'm Am, also known as WAm and most commonly known as "that smug little asshole in the bow tie". I animate and do the art thing and forget to write in the "About Me" sections of websites I sign up for.
Also I want to catch all the Pokemon. Nailed it.
That Goddamn White Tower
Friend mentioned wanting to learn to do environments, I decided to draw an environment. No, I've never heard of Dark Souls, what's that?
That's a sweet compliment, but really unfair as an assumption.
Any semblance of skill I might have is because I've been drawing almost every day for the past 6 years, mixed with the support of some of the coolest teachers and friends I know.
